A Christmas Carol key quotation lesson. Students focus on the zoom and explanation part of a paragraph. Key quotations are provided but students need to analyse the language in as much detail as possible independently. This was a successful lesson with my year 10s as they prepared for their assessment on the novel. It gave them time to consider how key quotations can be adapted to different questions depending on what they analyse.
