The aim of this screening form is to:
- Establish a student’s basic English language proficiency
- To identify a student who requires EAL, EFL, ESL support
- To identify topic areas a student may need to develop
The following topic areas are assessed:

- Household words
- School words
- Doing / Action words
- Domestic Animals
- Weather words
- Wild Animals
- Positional Words
- Days of the week
- Times of the day
- Months of the year

Quite comprehensive screening of basic vocabulary. It would be good to have a separate set of materials to correspond with each item on the screening form which the teacher is marking, as it is not good for the student to see negative circling-markings on the form.
