GCSE English Language Paper 1 Complete Mock / Practice Paper The Hole in the Wall Edwardian Text

This is a complete Language Paper 1 Paper which can be used for GCSE mock practice or to give Year 10 students an insight into what a real paper could be like. This resource can also be used for able year 9 students, who are beginning the transition into GCSE style work.

The first part gives an extract and questions which follow the style of Language Paper 1 for AQA - analysing language, writing about structure and evaluating a section of the extract. This lesson can easily be edited for the Edexcel exam specification.
Section 2 is a choice of writing activities, linked by theme to the extract, which allows students to imaginatively develop the ideas from the text which they have just read.
