I have created this booklet for the topic of Holidays and Travel. It is mostly for KS4.
It is a very comprehensive booklet as it gives you the possibility to work on a multitude of skills (reading/listening/speaking/writing)
I usually put my pupils in groups of 3 or 4 and give them an envelop with their travel money.
It is a very good exercise for them to work on their group work, problem solving skill, it is authentic vocabulary and great for culture and I have tried to keep the prices realistic too.
All my year 10s love this activity, I usually put the sound of the waves in the background as well and you can find some nice video on YouTube of the Basque Country so pupils can have an idea of what it looks like.
P.S: that can easily be a double lesson for you to do some marking while they are busy preparing their trip ;)
