A short unit based on the book How To Live Forever by Colin Thompson. The unit consists of 8 lessons designed to be taught in a 2 week block, with a focus on writing a detailed setting description. Planning document and learning objectives included, as well as teaching slides and resources for all 8 lessons. Each lesson comes with suggestions for differentiation as well as resources (including widgets) to support lower attaining pupils where suitable.
This unit is ideal for fitting some narrative writing into a shorter term. It is designed to be used in a Year 4 or Year 5 class but can be altered for use in Year 3 and Year 6 as well.
