Hi!

This is my second resource to add on inferring based on David Walliams’ ‘The world’s worst teachers!’ We use an amazing reading approach whee we teach children the strategies explicitly rather than traditional forms of carousel. This was observed by an external school iinspection and graded ‘outstanding’ due to children’s collaboration-yes it’s simple but it works and simplicity is key! If you need any questions or guidance, please do let me know and I would be more than happy to support you! This was taught to my Year 4 class but can easily be taught at Year 3 too! It consists of three lessons, the text extracts for sessions 1 and 2 and independent comprehension at the end for assessment. We read the last few pages together as a class during our plenary and discussed its effect and impact!
