I have attached two versions of the same resource (one is a word document, the other is a PDF document). Select the one that you prefer.

The worksheet requires students to come up with equations of straight lines when they have been given a certain criteria such as the gradient or y-intercept. The worksheet builds from positive, negative and then fractional gradients and y-intercepts.

Notes have been added at the start of the document as guidance for students. Colour coding of gradient and y-intercept used throughout the document as a visual reminder.

The worksheet can be used in an ICT lesson for investigating straight line graphs or used as part of assessments.

I hope you enjoy using this resource. I would be grateful for any feedback on how you have used it in your lessons.

Lovely open-ended activity to promote discussion. I would be intrigued to see what the "little triangles" are that were covered last lesson! Thank you, I'll be using this with my year 9s to consolidate our work on gradients and y-intercepts. I love the extension task to move into looking at parallel lines, too.
