Knowledge deck: The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas

A “Knowledge Deck” or flashcard deck identifies the essential knowledge and vocabulary required to access and engage with the text. (180 flashcards)

Each flashcard is tagged by chapter and character, offering flexible ‘pre-teaching’ and retrieval practice style questions and vocabulary. Knowledge decks can be used in class or used to set homework.

When teaching, almost all lesson “Do Nows,” “Checks for Understanding” and homework tasks are delivered using the deck, significantly reduced planning time.

Homework tasks can be marked in class, by the pupils or knowledge can be confirmed via a short quiz (which is much more powerful than marking a homework task).
