  • Exploring the phrase ‘the words tumbled out’ to help children infer meaning and look at familiar words in different contexts.
  • Retrieval of information from the text and pictures.
  • PSHE/PSED work to support emotions of ‘worry’ including strategies to help children.
  • Exploring the author’s/illustrators choices, why are the pictures in black and white with limited colour?
  • Decoding activities including read and draws to build fluency and put phonics into practice!
