This resource introduces children to the artwork of living, British artist Ruth Allen. Ruth Allen creates drawings of ordinary buildings using a technique called ‘continuous line’.
This resource includes three presentations:

  • An introduction to the artist
  • Activity 1- learn and practice using the continuous line technique
  • Activity 2- Create an artwork in the style of Ruth Allen

I have successfully used this activity with years 4,5 and 6 but it could easily be used with other age groups too.

This resource is good for using with architecture themed topics and for teaching/ developing drawing skills.
