Students are asked to help their mayor correct the signs on Main Street. They are given eleven different signs with errors, and they must use their knowledge of grammar to fix them. Types of mistakes include spelling, homonyms, verb usage, and apostrophes. Learners will be so absorbed in the quest they have been given, that they may even forget that they are doing grammar work. This packet would work well as homework, morning work, test prep, review, independent practice, etc. Great for Special Education classrooms or even as supplemental material for advanced classes. Students can also use their creativity as they create new signs by adding their own artwork to their new creations. Twenty-six total slides. Answer Keys included.
