
This lesson supports the AQA Trilogy Combined Science specification points 4.1.3 Transport in cells, 4.1.3.2 Osmosis, and develops students’ understanding of osmosis and solution concentration.
Students will:
- Define osmosis, dilute and concentrated
- Recognise dilute and concentrated solutions
- Describe hypertonic, isotonic and hypotonic solutions and their effects on cells
- Apply knowledge to exam-style questions
