This resource is all about a young pig called Pamela who thinks she has lost her oink. Onomatopoeias feature thoughout. Specifically the resource is to introduce farm animals and assist learning of phase 1 phonics also an introduction to initial sounds in words (phase 2 phonics). There are baby animals included in this resource featuring ‘new life’ at the beginning of Spring. I have included lots of questions throughout the PowerPoint but there are also lots of opportunities to ask more who, what, where and why questions.

I hope you and the children enjoy it.

A big thank you to Reddish Vale Farm Stockport for allowing me to use the photographs that I took of their gorgeous animals, all of which were taken at the farm with the exception of the ducks which was taken on a lovely walk around Fog Lane Park, Manchester.
