Used with year 9s as an introduction to Child Development. This unit focuses on the basics of child development readying students for the new Child Development Tech Award 2022.
8 lesson PowerPoints that cover the content. Each lesson has been made to be slightly interactive with video clips to support student understanding. Where necessary there are notes in the note section of the presentation.
These lessons are all fully adaptable for student’s context so should not just simply be followed unless this would work for your students.
There is a planned home learning to accompany patterns of child development. This is in the form of a practice assessment tasks. Each task should take between 30 minutes to and hour depending on the students abilities.
There is a planned assessment for the end of unit. This is in the form of a Pearson exam paper. I have left it out of this pack due to copyright.
