Basic strategy game for Early Years/KS1.
Children move their pirate around the treasure map; pirates can move horizontally, vertically or a combination of both. Any treasure the pirate passes over becomes theirs to keep.
Children will need to use their number skills.
(Differentiated game play available: counting only -vs- counting and simple addition.
Children will be using simple algorithms when they plan the direction and order of their three movements each turn.
Children will be planning ahead, reviewing and changing their strategy as the game progresses.
This simple games takes under 5 minutes to complete making it ideal for those with a shorter attention span.
