A whole KS3 lesson on pollination.
Pupils revise over the anatomy of the flower. They then learn a definition of pollination and discuss why it is important to know how pollination works in terms of crops.
Pupils watch a short video on pollination and then fill in a gap-fill flow chart on the stages of pollination. Go through the process and allow pupils to self assess with an accompanying animation of pollination.
Pupils create a storyboard using their flow diagram on the stages of pollination.
They then look at the differences between wind and insect pollinated flowers and answer a question on this in their books.
Plenary task included.
