Primary Science curriculum divided into Biology, Chemistry and Physics from Early years to year 6. These road maps are colour coded into the different areas (e.g. Biology is split into Animals, Humans, Plants, Living things, Inheritence and Evolution) which allow teachers and science curriculum leaders to quickly and easily see what should have been taught in previous year groups on the area they are about to teach and what the children will go on to learn in the following year groups.
This supports teachers ensuring they begin units by eliciting what the children have retrained from previous learning and addressing any gaps or misconceptions that children may still have before moving on to the new learning in their currect year group.

Vocabulary to use and teach for each area is also suggested in boxes below the national curriculum objectives.
