Useful for quick scale/conversion problem. I am sure funnels etc. designed to promote discussion!
Not sure whether it's meant to have deliberate mistakes - suggests building model of a ship and then in addition to measurements (OK) then asks about the NUMBER of funnels / anchors / passengers which will be on the scale model...
A nice and simple starter activity to warm up pupils' arithmetic skills. The values used are nice and easy so would be ideal for a middle ability KS3 class.
