1) The Labour Party lesson, updated for 2026. A lesson all about who the Labour Party are, their values, their history, their leader, Keir Starmer, and their current policies. The lesson also introduces the concept of socialism, its history and its pros and cons.
2) The Conservative Party - Kemi Badenoch and the Conservative Party - who is Kemi and what do Conservatives stand for? A detailed and editable Tutor Time / Citizenship lesson which introduces the Conservative Party, their leader, their history, their successes and failures in government, people’s opinions on them and what they stand for.
3) The Liberal Democrats - who are they? What do they stand for? In the lesson students will explore the history of the Liberal Democrats, their values and aims, their successes and failures and their policies.
4) A new lesson examining who Reform UK are, their leader, Nigel Farage, and their policies and plans should they get into government. Students will investigate their history, public criticisms and praise, complete comprehension and clip tasks and a ‘who said it?’ populist vs populist task.
5) A new lesson examining who the UK Green Party are, their new leader, Zack Polanski, their policies and how they differ from the current Labour Government. Students will investigate their history, public criticisms and praise and debate one of their education policies.
6) JUST ADDED - updated Political Parties and Voting Lesson for 2026 - students will examine all parties and their policies in detail and in comparison for each other. There is opportunity for a class election at the end.
