Science lesson all about understanding how muscles make our bodies move

Stuck for a quick and easy hour or so of science? Possible as a complete standalone lesson if necessary.

Smart notebook to introduce the subject and lead you and your class through some useful discussions and 'not-too-disruptive' quick and easy practical activities . Then there's a nice simple labelling activity to do, with your help if you want via the same pictures on the smart notebook. Finally a 'closed passage' activity with the answers on a separate sheet to choose from. You can also give the answers to different groups of children so they have to ask each other, or on a hunt around a playground if your TA's got the energy : )

Also included a couple of muscle questions worksheets and the 2 lessons plans in short-term format (the 2nd one of which is for the muscles lesson). The 1st lesson is a nice intro lesson to a wider "all about me" topic if you wanted it as a longer-term series of lessons.
