An engaging series of 5-6 lessons to accompany the reading of Act 4 of Macbeth. Using engaging videos (included) of different adaptations and interpretations of these scenes to ensure pupils are exposed to the wide range of interpretations (AO1) whilst reading the script as well as clips and recordings to develop contextual understanding (AO3.)

Reading focusses which are structured in line with new GCSE Literature assessment objectives (AO1-3) and skills ensure a purposeful and focussed reading, viewing and discussion to ensure pupils are developing their GCSE Literature skills throughout the Act 4 units and are able to reflect upon and assess their own understanding effectively.

Following group and class discussion of each reading focus, model responses, annotations and key quote analysis are used to clarify and extend pupils understanding of Shakespeare's ideas, methods and contextual influences.
