8 hours of fully resourced lessons covering a variety of issues presented by social media.

1. How does social media affect our self-esteem and why do people contrive a perfect life online?
2. What happens when we become selfie-obsessed?
3. What are the dangers of chatting to people we don’t know online?
4. Why shouldn’t we share private images, what is revenge porn, and why is this terrible trend on the increase?
5. How has the media changed our views on body image?
6. What is online shaming, canceling and call-out culture?
7. Media and culture-wars (best suited to KS5 or high ability KS4).
8. Social media validation - how is social media affecting our self-worth?

All lessons include : complete 1 or 2 hour PowerPoint, clips and worksheets are are suitable for KS3 or KS4, include a variety of different level tasks for MA,LA or Core, all differentiated to 3 levels or more.
