A simple IWB game designed in PowerPoint to develop children’s early subitising skills. Children are presented with 4 or 5 under water sea creatures and say how many they can see. Children see the amount and click on the matching number digit card as fast as they can. This resource is easily editable and 32 slides in length.

This game links well with Spring Term Alive in 5 WhiteRoseMaths. It may provide an ideal starter or guided group activity in Maths sessions. Once familar with the game some children may like to play this game on the IWB during continuous provision. This game also works well as assessment tool to see whether children are able to subitise amounts within 5 - an important early learning goal.
