The Man Who Invented Christmas Movie Guide | Questions | Google (PG - 2017) challenges students to learn from the life of Charles Dickens and his experience while writing A Christmas Carol. Think like a director and explore how the visualization of Dicken’s characters affects the viewer. Analyze Dickens’ past and how it connects with his struggle to write the ending of his story. Generalize what lesson can be learned about how we view our past, present and future. Compare popular entertainment in the 19th century, like Dickens’ books, with entertainment today. Finally, research and review some of Dickens other works that were mentioned in the film.

This resource consists of 11 high-level, short answer and essay questions that will do more than just ask your students to regurgitate information.
