This activity was created for a KS2 Religious Studies lesson focusing on key individuals in the story of Passover. The lesson was structured in the following way:
- Brief introduction
- Video to watch (access to YouTube required) telling the story of Moses, the Israelites and their escape from Egypt following the ten plagues.
- Structured questioning activity to ensure pupils have understood key points
- Main task - an extended written activity in which pupils have to retell the story of Passover. In completing this task pupils are shown three levels of words (bronze, silver and gold) and they should aim to reach the highest possible level in their work by including all of the words from as many levels as possible. This should encourage pupils to write in more depth.
