A quiz I designed for a Year 11 class who had a free lesson. Some difficult questions so maybe better with higher sets. Should take a good hour to go through. You'll have to download the video to Madonna&'s &';Like a Prayer' for the music round. Otherwise fairly easy to follow.
Presentation contains 30 activities designed for use as a starter or plenary for Key Stage 3 Religious Education which focus on Biblical knowledge, World faiths and Moral Issues and will promote research skills. Presentation has similar structure to “Geography? Take Cover” and “History? Take Cover”. Presentation can be used as a teacher led activity. Answers are given to all 30 challenges and all 30 activities are also available in a printer friendly mode to facilitate homework or give support for non specialist cover lessons. Presentation can also be used as an enjoyable “end of unit” activity. The whole presentation contains 93 slides and hyperlinks are embedded throughout.
This resource is a visual reading list, highlighting a total of forty eight fiction books that directly link to topic areas actually covered on the Year 7 and 8 RE curriculum. Books are age-appropriate (other than those few marked as silver, which are categorized as young adult books) and showcase predominantly newer books, published within the past couple of years or so in order to excite students and encourage reading for pleasure. The AR Level indicates the Accelerated Reader level that the book is placed at, which relates to ability. These two A3 posters can be photocopied and placed up in RE department areas around school in order to encourage further discussion between subject teachers and students.
A professionally designed Christmas quiz for Religious Studies teachers to use with their students, featuring 60 well-presented questions and an answer sheet. If you like it: leave a 5* rating and email us (firstname.lastname@example.org) and we’ll send you a beautiful Christmas Crossword worksheet for free! The quiz also includes a word-search (on screen) and a couple of anagram rounds. Fifty of the questions are Christmas-related and not connected to a specific school-subject: the final ten are subject specific and deal either with GCSE terminology, KS4 exam specification contents, or “fun facts”. Differentiation can easily be achieved by changing quiz group sizes. The quiz is suitable for KS3-5. Completing and peer-marking the 60-question quiz should take the best part of a 1-hour lesson. The resource is fully editable. Copyright Adam Godwin (2018) Not for re-distribution.

After teaching R.S for 15 years, more and more primary schools seem to be teaching less and less Religious Studies. This resource is my first lesson taught to Year 7 aiming to bridge the gap and to offer students the basics of religions. I use it to prepare for the baseline assessment (uploaded on TES for free). The lesson aims to give students the foundations of the world religions, prepares them for GCSE style questions, introduces the census data in our local area and also provides scripture quotations. Students use our table menus to support in this lesson(but they are not needed - but I have uploaded the template of these on TES for free as well

There is also a 12m examination question support worksheet using the FARMERS structure.
