This is FULLY ANIMATED introductory lesson teaching the pupils the different types of graphs that we use in science. By the end of this lesson pupils will have an understanding of the different types of graphs and would have practiced constructing a series of line graphs. Graph paper is included and one is differentiated for the lower ability including a brief mark scheme to guide them. For the more able a pie chart has been included for practice. This resource pack contains: A PPT (23 slides) and handouts (3 sheets) . Activities include: Starter Task: Thinking Skills question Explanations and example of a Bar chart, different examples of line graphs and a pie chart (all are non specific). Pupils will be asked to complete plotting activities based on non specific data provided to them as a means of practicing the construction of a variety of line graphs. This ice breaker resource is a great addition to back to school tutor time, 'dropdown' days or any lesson! It can even be used as a distance learning Teams or Zoom tool. This is the perfect addition to any classroom, especially at the beginning of the year. This is a FULLY INTERACTIVE presentation with animation and MUSIC. The PPT consists of over 30 Slides with 12 Icebreaker scenarios and three of our fun count down timers. Use the Ice Breaker Selector Wheel on slide 2 to select one of the 12 Ice breaker questions within this presentation. This is a bundle of four complete and fully resourced lessons introducing pupils to forces in Science. The resources are… Intro to Forces: Physics: Forces Lesson This is a fully resourced introductory lesson teaching pupils about the different types of forces. This Physics: Forces Lesson pack contains: A PPT (32 slides) and handouts (3 sheets) . Activities include: Starter Task: A Thinking Skills questions- on forces. A mind map on forces. Following which there is a visual explanation of what forces are. Pupils will then undertake a Conveyor belt activity and have to match up the correct picture with the correct type of force and meaning. Included in this pack is a peer assessment sheet that can be used to mark the individual activities. Exit task/Plenary: ‘MOO or False’ This is a true or false activity based on the information gathered during the lesson. Measuring Force-This is a practical lesson introducing pupils to Newton meters. Physics: Measuring Force, Newton Meters Lesson pack contains: A PPT (15 slides) and a peer assessment handout (1 sheet). Activities include: Starter Task: A Thinking Skills questions- measuring force. Task 1: Pupils are introduced to Sir Isaac Newton and his invention, the Newton Meter. Then pupils are asked to measure everyday items and record this information in the form of a table in their exercise books. Task 2: Pupils should then be given a spring and a hook and 5 weights (1-5 kilograms). They will need to hang the spring and add the weights one by one and measure the length of the spring each time a weight is added and record the data in the form of a table. They will then be asked to plot a line graph (you will need to provide graph paper for this task). Task 3: Pupils will need to conclude on the results and describe the relationship between weights added and the length of the spring and link this to how a Newton meter works. Balanced & Unbalanced Force: Forces: Balanced and Unbalanced Force This is a fully resourced lesson introducing pupils to balanced and unbalanced forces. This Human Rights Lesson pack contains: A PPT (15 slides) and a peer assessment handout (12 sheets). Activities include: Starter Task: A Thinking Skills questions-on human rights. Task 1: Pupils are discuss the rights of a human being. Task 2: Pupils are taken through the concept of human rights. Task 3: Pupils will need to write as many questions using the 5W sheet as the an think of and then use the interactive 5W generator to discuss these questions. Task 4: Pupils should then watch the YouTube clip and fill in the second 5 w sheet with answers to the questions discussed and any information from the clip that they deem important.
