Full lesson on trial and improvement aimed at my year 9 middle ability class but could be used for others. Includes a starter on substitution with a secondary think task to get students thinking about trial and improvement. Includes a comprehensive demo where students just watch then a second example where I got the students to do it with me but that's up to you. Then includes a task with differentiated questions followed by a wordy problem solving task aimed at the new specification. Success criteria task to finish followed by a small reflection.
