This is a helpful resource which aims to help students consider the different factors when selecting a university course and make an informed choice over their chosen course. This resource is suitable for any prospective university student (i.e. sixth form student or adult learner) or for any teacher/tutor supporting students with their UCAS application or educating their learners about higher education. This resource is an excellent aid for students when completing their UCAS application and to be distributed by teachers to students as a handout. It would also work well as part of a PSHE lesson.

It’s written in a friendly, accessible manner and comprehensively discusses all the factors that might influence choosing a university course such as course length, location, class size, reputation of the university, accommodation and facilities. Students are provided with useful practical advice as well as appropriate questions they should answer when selecting the right course for them. Advice is also given on what to do when students don’t get their first choice.
