Here are a series of creative writing lessons for Year 6 students, based on the story of Hansel and Gretal by Neil Gaiman.

Lesson 1 – To be able to examine characters’ feelings and understand someone’s inner thoughts can differ from their outward actions.

Lesson 2 - To be able to develop characters and setting through effective description.

Lesson 3 - To be able to describe a setting.

Lesson 4 - To be able to describe a character.

The lessons are created with the ‘I Do, We Do, You Do format’ with teacher examples. All slides are editable and ready for tailoring to your needs. This pack includes editable L.Os for students to stick in, ‘Next Step’ marking stickers to add to students’ work, as well as resources to support the lessons.
