PowerPoint (incl. scheme of work), Student Workbook, Teacher Resources - a complete pack to teach Programme Music to Year 8 (though also suitable for Year 9) students. 7 Lessons though can be expanded.

Each lesson contains listening, keywords (in line with GCSE Edexcel spec) and practical tasks, with assessment rubrics built in, including self-assessment points. Includes ‘What is programme music’ with an emphasis on students asking two questions throughout the unit: “What is happening in the story?” “Which musical elements show this?”.

Student workbook goes with PowerPoint and includes tasks for every lesson as well as keyword glossary for students to add to.

Pieces of music that are studied: Dukas The Sorcerer’s Apprentice, Grieg Morning Mood from Peer Gynt, Grieg In the Hall of the Mountain King from Peer Gynt, Rimsky-Korsakov Scheherazade, Saint-Saens Danse Macabre.
