OCR GCSE Drama 9-1 Mock Exam (Set text Blood Brothers)
Mock exam written for the OCR GCSE Drama specification that includes questions for both section A and B. The performance text is based on Blood Brothers so doesn't include questions for other texts.
OCR GCSE Section B The Woman in Black Key Moments
A powerpoint on the key moments of the play ‘The Woman in Black’. Although it was planned for section B of the OCR written exam it could be easily adapted for other exam boards. It is a carosel lesson in which students revise and complete task of 5 key moments from the play. It includes handouts with detailed notes on each scene and info on how students should structure their paragraphs.

Mock exam written for the OCR GCSE Drama specification that includes questions for both section A and B. The performance text is based on Blood Brothers so doesn’t include questions for other texts. This is the 2nd mock exam I have written and has different questions to the first.

A powerpoint that includes all of the information students will need to remember before their exam. It includes information on Genre, Style, Conventions, Plot, Structure, Characters, Costume, Lighting, Sound and Set. Perfect to print out as a revision guide or present to them in a lesson right before the exam.
OCR GCSE Blood Brothers Historical, Social and Cultural Context Revision
3 Lessons on one Power Point that cover all aspects of the S,H+C Context of Blood Brothers in preparation for Section A of the written exam. Has detailed info on the context with task on finding evidence, directors decisions and structuring 8 Mark questions.
Practitioners- Introduction to DV8
A workshop on the history, artistic policy and techniques of DV8. The workshop was designed to be used over three lessons although could be adapted to suit more or less. It consists of information about DV8, warm ups, short tasks based on their techniques that include music and links to DV8 videos. It looks into 4 different DV8 projects and includes links to short clips.
The workshop culminates in students creating their own piece in the style of DV8.
OCR GCSE Drama- Woman in Black revision lessons for Section B
Includes a powerpoint, Key words revision sheets and test, Analysis of an exemplar answer to section B and information on key moments in the text for design, characterisation, genre and style. Should be covered over 2-3 lessons
OCR GCSE Drama Mock Exam with model answers- Blood Brothers set text
A mock exam paper for the OCR GCSE Drama specification. Section A questions are for the set text Blood Brothers.
Also included is the same paper with modeled high mark answers filled in. Section B is filled in having seen the play The Woman in Black but will be useful for structure and terminology for any play.
OCR GCSE Drama Presenting and Performing Texts- Exemplar Concept Pro Forma
Included is an example Concept Pro Forma for Presenting and Performing Texts for OCR GCSE Drama. The Pro Forma is based on performing ‘Blood Brothers’. This text is not allowed to be performed for this component but I have used it so that students are able to see an example of coursework that they won’t be able to copy whilst also revising for Section A of the written exam.
This includes a PowerPoint with the 4 questions and answers then some questions to get them thinking about what to write and the criteria they are marked on.
OCR GCSE Drama written exam revision sessions
This powerpoint includes direction on the possible types of questions that could be on the exam and how the students could answer them. It includes tasks, peer assessment and learning objectives.
The power point has one slide that mentions blood brothers as the set text but could be easily adapted to include a different one. The creating question worksheets are designed around Blood Brothers but again could be adapted.
I suggest that it is taught over 3-5 lessons.

It has many questions for the students to answer and use to help with their reviews.

A comprehensive revision booklet for The National Theatre’s performance of Jane Eyre, available to watch for free for schools on the National Theatre Collection. As live theatre is more difficult to watch this year I created this booklet to be used for home and school learning.
This booklet prepares students for the evaluation section on GCSE Drama exams for all exam boards. It covers context, set, lighting, sound, costume, characterisation and directors decisions. Each section has a key words test, info about the play and questions for students to answer. It finishes with advice on structure of the essay and practice questions.
