I have used this activity to support children with their understanding of number and addition and subtraction and it has helped to boost their confidence when they return to class. Teen Numbers Lesson A complete Maths lesson for introducing teen numbers in a step by step manner. During the main input children practise making teen numbers and can practise writing the number sentences for teen numbers. Children then have to identify numbers - this encourages children to explain their thinking. This Maths lesson includes three differentiated teen number worksheets and a plenary. The intervention helps children to gain confidence when they are writing sentences.
