A 4-page leaflet comprising a bank of activities for teachers, support staff, childminders and parents to engage with their child to help their learning. The activities all involve using playdough to help the child develop in the key areas of learning such as Speaking & Listening, Mathematics, Personal, Social and Emotional Development etc. The leaflet is extremely useful for parents of children in EYFS and Year 1. Here I have 2 week’s planning (8 lessons) on Wombats for Year 1 English. The planning is non-fiction and fiction literacy. This planning has learning objectives, success criteria detailed descriptions for teacher input and what should be expected of the children based on 3 differentiated outcomes (high, middle and low). The planning focuses on researching Wombats through various means, group work, use of ICT, Fact writing and the creation of fact files. Theres the opportunity to branch off researching further Australian animals or simply Australia in general. Week 2 (4 lessons) is a follow up to the the previous weeks plan.
