Everything you need to deliver the unit biomolecules of GCSE Biology (37 slides). It follows Cambridge syllabus (0610) and Cambridge IGCSE endorsed book by Jones and Jones Third edition, but it is easily adaptable to others. The topic is divided in 6 parts: The importance of water Carbohydrates Lipids Proteins DNA Food tests Progress check: some slides contain revision activities for the different parts of the topic, some are based on the textbook. The slides have been prepared in power point . All pictures have been sourced from the creative commons website. The power point is very easy to navigate for students to be able to use it for revision. There are 3 more documents included: Assessment questions in word document. This is a revision guide that covers the key ideas for Biology KS3 students. I use them to guide revision sessions in year 8 and I also give them to students to help them revise independently. It includes these topics: Plants: photosynthesis, leaves, roots and transport. Food and digestion: nutrients, balanced diet, digestive system and teeth Circulatory system: heart, blood and vessels. Respiration: respiratory system, gas exchange, fitness and smoking. 4 files are included: Power point with the revision guide (fully editable to meet your needs) and a pdf to print it. This resource contains a power point with a “sudden death quiz” about pathogens and immunity (KS4 level). Easily adaptable and editable for other levels. There are 15 questions with interactive buttons. Only the right question leads you to the next one. Wrong questions lead you back to the beginning of the quiz. It is a great resource for revision that can be used as a class by projecting it on the whiteboard or it can be shared with students for them to navigate it on their own. You have the editable power point for you to add questions or edit them to increase/decrease difficulty. To add questions, you can just copy the last slide before the “well done” slide and move the interactive buttons to match the right answer. In presentation mode the only way to go to the next slide is using the interactive buttons, the mouse or arrow keys will not work (kiosk mode). Press Esc to stop the presentation. You also have the “show” version of the power point that can be shared with students so that they can use it as revision.

I currently use these slides to teach the unit of plants to my Year 9 groups. All files are editable to adapt them to your needs. Flowers Pollination Fertilisation Fruits End of unit questions Revision: 20 minutes of revision activities + slides to check the proper answers. I use it as revision before the exam.
