This social story is a great read for students who may need some support with going to the toilet. A lot of children struggle with going to the toilet, it may cause them anxiety and they may not even understand how to use a toilet. Hopefully, this social story will help encourage your child(ren)/students to use the toilet, and also help promote independence. Many students with autism are visual learners and like to learn through seeing something in action. This book comes complete with matching, simple yet engaging graphics to help describe what is being said on the page. ★ Comes in boy and girl option. ★ Comes in col option only - no b/w availability, however you can print in grayscale. Pages included in boy book are; ♦ The toilet is in the bathroom. ♦ When I need the toilet, I should go to the bathroom. ♦ I should pull down my pants. ♦ If I need to pee I can stand and urinate into the toilet. ♦ If I need to poo I can sit on the toilet. ♦ When I am finished, I should use toilet paper. ♦ I can wipe with toilet paper or call for help. ♦ Then, I should pull up my pants. ♦ Now, I should flush the toilet. ♦ Next, I wash my hands. I recommend printing out each of the individual pages, laminating them and then binding them into a book so it will be easier for students to read - or be read to, as well as being stronger and longer lasting. You can use only the pages that you feel most relevant.

Keep families and carers up to date with your classroom with these editable newsletters that can be used all year long. Coming in a range of different styles, your families will love how engaging and informative these newsletters are. Editing These newsletters can be edited in PowerPoint or Keynote. The editable parts are where you can add edit text, photos, shapes etc. onto the templates. You will not be able to lift any images. This is to protect my work as a teacher-author and the work of fantastic clip artists. How to Use Edit using PowerPoint or Keynote - the newsletters are separated into different files to make them easier to use. Print out the newsletters to send home with students. Or, save the newsletter as a JPEG or PDF and then email home to your students families/carers. This will save on your ink and can make communicating with home easier. This adapted morning work binder is an engaging and hands-on way to start each morning with your autistic students. Using the morning binder each day will help your students get into a routine where they come in, settle down and they are ready to work. Many of our students may struggle with transition in the mornings, so by providing this work book as a consistent routine in their daily morning routine, it will help them to settle quicker and be prepared to work. The books are editable so each student can have their own personalized morning binder. The document comes as a Keynote and PowerPoint file. You can add on different wording and add pictures of your student etc. but please note you will not be able to add/change/extract any form of clipart/imagery/text from this document. This is to protect our fabulous clip artists and myself as a teacher-author. This book comes in 2 levels; Level 1 - Students match images or symbols to each of the pages. Level 2 - Students match images or symbols and words to the pages. They can also use a dry-wipe pen and write their answers to make it harder again. What’s Included? Finished Front Cover You can either add your students name using a text box and then print out, or have students write their name once printed. What Should I Wear This comes with 4 different options. You only need to print one per book used. 2 boy options, and 2 girl options are included. Students use the clothing pieces included to dress the person appropriately for how the weather is outside. Build Up If you feel there are too many pages to start for your students, use less pages to start. First, just use ‘Me and My Name’ ‘What Day Is It?’ ‘How’s the Weather?’ and 'Finished’ Then, as students progress with this, start adding more of the pages in. Finished My students love these books - but they love the finished page too. Having the finished page is a visual way to show your students that they have completed the activity. This is a great visual resource to help motivate and encourage students to complete their task(s) or work in order to gain tokens to receive their reward. Students collect a token for each task they complete/minute worked (you choose), once they have achieved all the tokens they get to have their choice activity. It is important for you to offer children the choice of what they want once they have finished their work so that they are motivated to achieve it at the end! This resource comes with two different options of each board (one with a yellow box for choice to go inside, one with black box). It also comes in 4 different difficulty levels. ♦ Level 1: 3 tokens then reward ♦ Level 2: 4 tokens then reward ♦ Level 3: 5 tokens then reward ♦ Level 4: 10 tokens then reward If you are unsure of what your student’s level of working is, I would start at the bottom and use level 1 then build your way up, if you feel your student is capable of working a large amount before achieving their reward then use your professional opinion on where to start them. To put together; ♦ print out the board that you want to use ♦ laminate it and attach velcro bits in each box ♦ cut out and laminate the choice activities provided (or provide your own) and add velcro to the back of them so that they will stick to the box on the page ♦ cut out and laminate your choice of reward coupons (3 different options provided) and also velcro these. You’re done! This is a great resource for encouraging students to work and also to improve how long they are able to work for or how many activities they can complete! This bingo pack is the perfect addition to your feelings and emotions activities. Students will love working on recognizing different feelings and being able to match these to their bingo board. There are 22 bingo boards included in this pack, which will allow you to have up to 22 players taking part at once with this activity. What’s Included? 22 Bingo Boards Mini Image and Word Feelings Flashcards Mini Word Feelings Flashcards Feelings Image and Word Flashcards Bingo Cover Ups How to Use? Hand out the bingo boards to players. Provide players with a set of bingo cover ups or manipulatives. Use any of the 3 types of flashcards to call out the feelings. If students have the same feeling on their board, they cover it up. The first student to cover all their feelings on their board shouts ‘Bingo’ and they are the winner. Other Uses Although this is a bingo pack, the activities included can be used in a range of others ways too, such as; Discussion. Look at the flashcards. Think of a reason that the boy/girl may feel like that. Questions. Lay out some different flashcards. “If I bought you an ice cream, but then you dropped it on the floor, how do you think you would feel?” And the student points to or selects one of the feelings on the flashcards. Matching. A simple matching game. Match the flashcards to the images on the bingo boards. . This activity is a fun and engaging way to help students work on and understand different feelings and emotions. Instructions Print out the bingo boards, flashcards and bingo cover ups that you’ll be using. Print out a set of bingo cover ups for each child. Decide which flashcard you will use and then print. Laminate the bingo boards. Cut up and laminate the flashcards and bing cover ups then, laminate them.

This resource contains a Good Afternoon Work Book / Greeting Book that is a great activity to use on a daily basis with your student(s). This book will help students to settle down and get ready to focus for their afternoon work. Many students may struggle with the transition in the afternoons, especially after playtimes, so by providing this work book as anchor in their daily afternoon routine, it will help them to settle quicker. It is individualised so each student can have their own copy. The document comes as a keynote or powerpoint file. I said the ocean is 1st, because we always go to the beach in the Summer. Then, a crab, because we try to find them at the beach. Then, there’s ice cream - the best cold treat! And, finally, of course, the sun! ★ It’s the first day of Summer, so dad is cooking us a bbq. First, I have to put the table cloth on our table, then dad starts to put food on the bbq to cook. I put on a special apron and hat so that I can be dad’s assistant chef. Finally, once the food is all cooked, I get to eat a cheeseburger! ★ We’re going to the beach today! Mom says I have to look for the beach sign, then we know we have arrived! When we arrive, I look up to see the sun shining, it’s very bright and hot! Mom puts an umbrella in the sand so we have some shade. Then, she helps to bury me under all the sand!

This resource contains an animal themed adapted / sentence building book that is a great way to encourage students to pay close attention to detail and be able to build sentences from what they can see. This pack comes complete with matching symbols for you to put together as an adapted book / sentence building book. The sentence structure follows ' I see a dog ' ' I see a zebra ' etc. Students have to build the sentence and look at what animal they can see to match the sentence to the page. There are 21 different animals included. The symbols come on a separate page. I recommend laminating the pages with empty boxes and pictures on then binding into a book. Cut out the symbol boxes individually and laminate. You can either have these spread out on a board/table for students to choose from or stick them muddled up on the back of the page in front for students to choose from. Brilliant for building sentences with children who need symbols for prompts. Also great for non-verbal students.
