Specialist Design and Technology Equipment is a common theme for examiners in GCSE D&T and Product Design and the equipment featured in these questions are often featured in past papers. Here’s a chance to cover these three pieces of equipment in enough detail to enable students to tackle such questions. This consists of two A3 sheets one is a question sheet and the second contains marking guidance for each of the questions. The two products featured are the Juicy Salif Lemon Squeezer and the Flos Gun Table Lamp. The descriptions on the sheet are intended to encourage students to consider influences and functionality of both products. This could be printed A3 as a poster or A4 for a handout to acompany a Product Design lesson.
