In fact there are 2 slightly different version of the traditional stations of the cross assembly celebrated in church school. This includes a powerpoint, reflections and responses for those in the assembly. Hope it saves you some time!

Cut and laminate this chart to display at the front of your class. Children will quickly learn what noise level you expect within specific lessons. Great evidence of clear clear expectations within lesson observations.

Display this powerpoint at the end of a lesson. It shows symbols used for self assessment and a range of sentence starters for pupils to record in their books for both self and peer assessment. The sentence starters are general and should be applicable to all subjects. Saves a lot of time rather than recording red pen questions for individual children.

Short differentiated checklist of the punctuation needed to be learnt at the end of year 1. Assesses the pupils formation, understanding of the punctuation use and ability to put it into a sentence. LA children may need to be supported, but the rest of the class can complete this independently. Also a great task to complete at the start of year 2 to check how much the children have retained from year 1.

A list of ways to incorporate dance and drama into your curriculum; including a range of games, starters and books which have excellent cross curricular links. Can be adapted throughout the key stages.

Mud kitchen themed outfoor learning resources. Mud Kitchen not necessary Simply an outdoor space with access to some grass etc. In the current climate a lot more learning is encouraged to take place outside and this resource is adapable from nursery to KS2. I have included blank recipe sheets which can be laminated and placed outside for free flow or mastery for older children. I have also included 8 stem challenge cards for EYFS/KS1 and 10 cards for KS2. I will be using this for my year 5 inorder to give them one day a week out of the classroom. The kids will all wear aprons, hats and we will call in forrest baking day. I think kids will enjoy a break to being trapped in the classroom and staff/parents will feel safer with children getting outsider. Adaptable Outdoor Learning STEM

14 images and song titles. Cut and laminate each them put them into a box or bag, shake it up and allow the children to choose one to sing at the end of the day. I've done this activity with every year group upto y2 and they loved the independence of choosing the song. Also great for EAL kids to develop language skills with the rest of the class.

Prime early years questions we must consider as practitioners and research offering different answers.

Three levels of worksheets to identify and create your own sentence types. Each page includes the definition of each sentence type which is great for beginners or revision, but this could be edited to become a cloze procedure. I’ve used this to introduce the topic in class and then to send home for parents in HW. Many of my parents said they found the definitions really helpful and put them up at home as they hadn’t been taught how to identify them before.

Assembly script based on a trip to space introducing the sun and the planets to the rest of the school. The script teaches some facts on each planet and their order from the sun. It has 15 speaking parts but is easily adjustable to share out the lines and add more. It contains one song, lyrics, links to lots of sound effects and a list of costume suggestions. This a really fun assembly to watch and act out full of laughs and facts. Hope it saves you some time :)

A cool little boardgame which can be used as an introduction to the topic, assessment at the end of topic in KS1 or as a knowledge harvest in KS2. Children pick up a card with an animal or plant on it and they move around the board choosing which habitat or micro habit that animal lives in. The game ends when all the cards are gone. The game targets these KS1 science objectives in the English Curriculum: a)identify that most living things live in habitats to which they are suited and describe how different habitats provide for the basic needs of different kinds of animals and plants, and how they depend on each other. b) identify and name a variety of plants and animals in their habitats, including micro-habitats.

This is a time capsule project adaptable to all ages! I’ve deliberately created the project to suit at home/in school teaching and to be FUN for the kids. It is a positive way to teach and move on from time in quarantine. It includes; a powerpoint lesson on what time capsules are and looks through some famous examples. a powerpoint with step by step instructions on how to create your own time capsule (for parents/kids at home or teachers in class). a series of Quarantine sheets for young ks1 kids or ks2+ (Teachers may choose to only use the letter to a future generation template for older kids). I am very excited to use this and suggest adding in a nice art lesson where kids can create pictures of how they spent lockdown or a symbol of this time (e.g. a rainbow). Assembly script based on the ‘Twas the night before Christmas’ poem. The script comprises of 30 parts.The teacher or Teaching Assistants should narrate while the class act it out through mime or dance. Santa is the only speaking part, which could be covered by a teacher too. The script is extremely adaptable and funny. The original poem was wordy so it’s been altered slightly, but is sure to bring tears, laughter and Christmassy joy.

Such a fun lesson! As art of teaching microhabitats my class and I created one large bug hotel in our garden area, it could also be done in any forest area nearby, but the closer the better as you can visit and investigate the bugs and which environment they’re most drawn too. Included is a brief powerpoint encouraging the children with ideas of what it may look like and natural environments for different types of insects. I would send the parental letter out a week or two before so they can help out with the items needed. Enjoy!

A social learning story made to read aloud to young kids. Either print in a3 or display as the powerpoint attached. The story is about Bas the Bat who has been hibernating for a long time. When he finally wakens up the world around him is different and scary. The story is made to help children adjust to beginning nursery, returning to school after a long time or those struggling with the somewhat ‘scary’ Covid life

A series of multiplication and division question divided into three levels of spice. The questions have a common castles theme and are written in the same style found in KS1 SATs papers. Appropriate to challenge y1, prepare y2 for SATs or to revise/assess early in y3.

Simple y2 targets, I send these home with parents at the start of the year and also circle two from each column during parent's evenings for parents to work on at home. I stick a copy of each at the from of my children's books at the start of the year so they know my expectations for them by the end. In order to track their targets we highlight each box as s the achieve it, you can also stick a star on it and date it each time you are aware the target has been achieved. This has made my life so much easier!
