I am a Primary School teacher, currently working in Year 3 and about to complete my NQT year (which has flown by and been absolutely brilliant!) following completion of my PGCE at the University of Cambridge. As this is my first year of teaching, the majority of my resources are aimed at Year 3 students though I have a number of children with SEN so activities are differentiated many ways. Usually they follow a 'mild, medium, spicy' format with further differentiation for additional needs.

Past and Present simple tense

(0)
A notebook with explanations of past and present tense including a short activity quickly writing verbs in the past/present tense. Sentences for pupils to sort in to two piles (past and present) followed by mild and medium differentiated activities (mild = ticking past or present and identifying the verb. medium = re-writing the sentence in the other tense). The spicy alternative was to write any sentence and then write it in the other tense.

Different types of conjunctions - Lower KS2

(0)
A notebook clearly explaining 4 different types of conjunctions: adding, opposing, time and cause and effect. This is complimented by a grid activity for children to sort examples from a word bank in to. For LA children there are some sentences with conjunctions missing and they must choose which conjunction fits best. Also provided: conjunction word bank like a jigsaw because conjunctions 'join' clauses together.

Gargoyle sketching

(0)
A notebook to support introduction and a series of gargoyle pictures to sketch from. There are some templates to design their own because my students went on and made ones out of clay. There are some half gargoyle pictures to use as a scaffold for LA children or children with SEN if sketching a whole gargoyle is too much!

4-step task planner for children with SEN

I print these out and laminate them and have them on the child's desk for me to write simple steps for them to complete the task as independently as possible. I also have a large version of it across the bottom of my whiteboard because generally the whole class benefits from it being broken in to manageable steps and it stops them coming up and asking what to do next!
