Questions are provided both orally and in written format. These are useful for enabling students to independently practise comprehension and speaking, and can be used to develop student skills in answering GCSE questions fully and with a variety of structures. This Powerpoint includes a game board with counters, vocab lists (clothes) in German, French, Spanish and Italian, as well as individual slides for each vocab item in all four languages. This can be used to introduce new vocab and then test knowledge of it/extend it to make sentences/to revise gender etc in a competitive way. I often have 2 teams compete against one another. The possibilities for reinforcing key learning points related to this topic are endless. The game has to be played in Powerpoint edit mode (not ‘slideshow’ mode) as otherwise the counters won’t move.

All Powerpoints illustrate the key learning points effectively with examples and are useful for introducing this as a grammar topic. These Powerpoints are also available individually in my shop. There is some crossover (prepositions can sometimes be followed by the accusative OR the dative), and this is outlined in the slides.
