I am a languages teacher who has, over the years, created many resources for teaching French and Spanish. Here I am sharing a few of these, in the hope it makes a hard-working teacher's life a little easier at a time when they need something quickly. Often adding more resources, so watch this space!

I paesi europei - European Countries - Connect 4 Game and Noughts and Crosses - Italian

A 24-slide Powerpoint to introduce European Country names in Italian . There is an individual slide for each vocab item to aid teaching as well as a vocab list and Connect 4 board game with counters, as well as a Noughts and Crosses board with counters. The game needs to be played in Edit mode otherwise the counters won’t move. I usually split groups into 2 and have them compete to remember key vocab/phrases and make it more difficult for more able groups, e.g. put into a sentence; change the sentence to a different tense, etc.

Le Noël - Christmas Connect 4 for French learners

(0)
A Connect4 game to support learning of Christmas vocabulary for French learners. I usually split the class into teams of 2 and have them compete to remember vocabulary/pronunciation. You can make this more challenging for more able, for example by requiring the vocab item to be part of a sentence; part of a sentence in a different tense, etc. Includes a full list of vocabulary featured in the game on a second slide Must be used in edit mode rather than slide show mode. It takes at least half an hour with an average-sized class to finish this activity.
