Learners are given the opportunity to calculate missing angles on a straight line, around a point and in a triangle. Once they have achieved each there is a problem involving algebra to challenge their knowledge and understanding. My year 8s loved this.

Get learners in pairs or groups to discuss how we calculate a missing angle in a triangle. Then ask learners how we would use or knowledge to solve the problems involving algebra. When learners say form an equation remind them how to solve using the balance method. For this particular task we completed them on posters for a display to show the challenges we had worked on.

Work in pairs. To play you must answer the question in each of the squares. If you get that question correct you can place your sticker over that square with the answer on it.
