This PowerPoint goes through dramatic techniques in Hamlet. It analyzes many techniques such as imagery, word play, soliloquies amongst others.

This lesson starts by taking students real-life knowledge into account by starting the class by asking students to write how the weather outside makes them feel? The lesson then builds on this knowledge by giving students extra information. The main activity is to read a chapter from The Hobbit where pathetic fallacy is used.

Sheets that are used for students to analyze some of Macbeth’s soliloquies in the play. The resource has the soliloquy and poses questions for the students to have an in depth analysis.

This is a very good resource that I gave to my examination students who are using recording devices or typing their examination answers. The questions within the feedback sheet were given after their mocks but can be also used for in-class preparation. The answers will give you knowledge of what the student hopes to focus on so you can plan what improvements need to be targeted.

This presentation concern the use of the internet within media studies. This presentation gives the advantages and disadvantages of the internet. It also gives students the opportunity to work in pairs and individually.

This can be used for an English or Extra English class. Within the PowerPoint it prompts students to think of the context and the books setting. This leads students to use empathy with the characters within the book.

This resource is part of a lesson I had for an inspection where we focused on Dickens’ portrayal of Fagin. This extracts focuses on Fagin’s final scene. This gives students knowledge of the context by finding information on ‘The Great Depression’ and what life was like during this time. The lesson starts with a ‘Do Now’ for students to test their prior knowledge on words that will relate to context. A PowerPoint resource for Seamus Heaney's Blackberry-Picking. The poem is broken into small pieces and explained with key words underlined with several questions posed to students. The meaning of certain phrases in the poem is also explored for example Heaney's personification of the blackberries.

A PowerPoint presentation of Seamus Heaney's 'The Early Purges'. The PowerPoint starts with aims and goes on to analyse the poem throughout with questions throughout. It also has activities such as 'Think-Pair-Share' and a diary entry at the end for homework.

The poem is broken-down into small parts. With each slide, it gives a detailed meaning and poses questions to the class.

An interview lesson for a mixed ability group of year 7 students introducing them to the poem.
