This is the first of 6 resources designed to take your students through a year of musical education. Here, we have the first topic, the introduction to music. It is designed to teaching the basics through the medium of performance. The scheme of work is designed for students to use with their own melody instrument. All the topics come with a score that can be adapted but is written for all standard orchestra instruments with a variety of difficulty levels catered for, but can be done using keyboards, tuned percussion or recorders. There are cross curricular links throughout the scheme of work and a good balance of listening, composing and performing tasks.
