I have over 16 years’ experience working in secondary education, with a strong focus on supporting students with additional needs. I began my career as a teaching assistant, working closely with students with SEND, before training as a maths teacher in a mainstream secondary school. Throughout my teaching career, I have specialised in supporting learners who struggle with maths or need a more supportive and flexible approach. After having my son, I trained as an NLP practitioner and ran my own business for three years, working with children experiencing anxiety and emotional challenges. This experience deepened my understanding of the link between emotional wellbeing and learning. I am currently teaching maths in an alternative provision setting, a role I absolutely love. The resources I create are designed to be calm, clear and confidence-building, particularly for neurodiverse learners working towards GCSE Maths Foundation level.
