I designed this for Year 7 - 9 pupils for Computer Science lessons, Year 10 and 11 wanted to do it too. Really good ice breaker. Gives a good understanding on where Hexadecimals are used in computing. Also pupils who know how to convert to binary can do the extended task.

You can also explain the concepts of pixels, there is a lot pupils can learn from this basic colouring exercise.

Excellent ice breaker on hexadecimal. Would use again. Students found it both useful and challenging.
