Presentation used as a starter or plenary in a English/literacy activity. Pupils are presented with a proverb or saying drawn from one of 20 different countries and cultures. They are to try to interpret the saying and perhaps suggest a British proverb with a similar meaning. Activity can be used as a spring board for creative writing. The whole presentation consists of 45 slides and hyperlinks are embedded throughout.
