Ancient Mayan Deities Lesson
This Ancient Mayan deities lesson teaches pupils about five of the most well-known Mayan gods and goddesses. There are then three activities for pupils to apply their knowledge of Ancient Mayan deities.

The deities covered are:

• Itzamna
• Chaac
• Kukulcan
• Kinich Ahau
• Ix Chel

Pupils learn facts about each of the deities listed above, before applying their knowledge in the following activities:

1. Deciding which deity should win one of four ‘awards’ e.g. most powerful
2. Linking facts about the gods and goddesses
3. Designing a cloak for a deity
