This spreadsheet was made to analyse the performance of my class when sitting the AQA New Maths GCSE Specimen Papers Set 1.
By entering the marks for each question, it will automatically do the following things:
1 - Work out total marks scored across each paper and all 3 papers for the student.
2 - Use a rough set of grade boundaries to estimate the grade at which students are working.
3 - Provide a quick overview of how students performed in the 6 different curricular strands for each paper, and overall, to inform future learning.
You can enter names and target grades (optional - it does nothing with the targets except allow you to see how close students are to those), and the marks for each question for each student (upto a class of 41 but it's fairly easy to modify the formulae to cater for more students if you wish).
On the "Tables" tab, it shows how many marks are assigned for each strand (based on my guesswork). By removing the protection (no password required), you can change these on the "QLA" tab for each question.

This is really useful to help identify whole class areas to improve as well as at an individual level. I wonder if anyone has made a similar analysis sheet for the foundation papers or for other sets of specimen papers? Thanks for sharing!
