Miriam Hyman was killed in the “7/7” London bombings on 7th July, 2005. In her memory, The Miriam Hyman Memorial Trust collaborated with teachers to create Miriam’s Vision, units of work for use across the Key Stage 3 curriculum. The unique, high quality lesson plans, written by teachers for teachers, contain an editable powerpoint, worksheets (PDF), video links and guidance notes.

The aim is to promote social cohesion in response to the circumstances of Miriam’s death.

This unit:
• Provides an opportunity to study Pipili appliqué from the Odisha region of India the place of Miriam’s memorial, the Miriam Hyman Children’s Eyecare Centre within the L V Prasad Eye Institute.
• Aims to promote diversity, defined as regional response to universal needs for sustenance, shelter and spirituality.
